We are the New Zealand Norsemen, a Viking Age Living History Society recreating life from the years 793 to 1066. As a Northern European culture group we cater for all ages, both males and females and we encourage families for all interests in the Viking Age. Members can engage in a wide range of interest from armed martial arts to camping, crafts, music, history and even religion.

We always try to put authenticity first and members will use their bare feet before modern shoes and itchy wool before polyester. We pride ourselves on our use of traditional battlefield tactics and techniques holding numerous titles in massed group and individual combat.

We are available as both an educational group, hiring for schools and educational institutions performing shows that cater for ALL ages and subject knowledge; and as an entertainment group, putting on battle displays, feasts, events and many other forms of frivolity.
